Upgrading from MYOB AssetManager Pro?
If you are a current MYOB AssetManager or MYOB AssetManager Pro user you will find a lot has changed with AssetManager Pro!
2017 Release Enhancements
AssetManager Pro 2017 is a major milestone in the almost 20 years history of AssetManager Pro (formerly MYOB AssetManager Pro).
It brings for the first time online and mobile access to asset information and provides a true, cost effective and efficient solution to support the Asset Audit process.
The release includes:
New Worksheet Style Depreciation Reports
Improved Disposal Value Adjustments, Reconciliation and Reporting
Support for Specialist Barcode Printing
NEW OnlineAudit module including AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan
Updated Compliance for Small Business Entity Taxpayers in Australia (inc the 20k Full Write-Off)
Non Small Business Entity (Non-SBE) to Small Business Entity (SBE) Conversion Assistant
Additional Depreciation Start Options including Full and Mid Month
Integration support for QuickBooks, Reckon Accounts and Xero
New Worksheet Style Depreciation Reports
The Asset Depreciation by Asset Group, Card and Depreciation Monthly reports have all been updated to provide a worksheet style view of the asset value, depreciation and other movements.
The reports now clearly shows opening values, new additions, depreciation and other adjustments and finally any disposal/write-off values providing a full reconciliation of the asset value movement.
Disposal Values and Reconciliation
As part of the worksheet reports and backed up with the new Disposal Value report its now really easy to "report on" and "reconcile" the key Asset Cost, Accumulated Depreciation and Gain/Loss for Asset Disposals.
As per above the new Asset Depreciation by Asset Group (or Card) worksheet report clearly shows the movement and ending balance for each Asset Group or Card (Cost Centre etc) and the resultant Cost and Accumulated Depreciation Values making it really easy to reflect this (and reconcile) back to your Accounts
In addition you can fully audit the disposal values including the Gain or Loss amounts via the new Disposal Value report which reports on Voluntary Disposals and Write-Offs.
Specialist Barcode Printing (part of OnlineAudit Module)
We now provide support for printing to specialist Barcode Printers making it easier and faster to print all sorts of asset labels. You can find more info on Barcode printing options and supported printers here.
Note: AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan and OnlineAudit are available with the AssetManager Pro Enterprise Edition for $1499 inc GST for unlimited installs of the iOS app.
Asset Audits (part of OnlineAudit Module)
Asset Audits can now be conducted online and assets scanned, verified and updated via the AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan App with real time updates into the Asset Count and Reconciliation process.
Note: AssetManager Pro Mobile Scan and OnlineAudit are available with the AssetManager Pro Enterprise Edition for $1499 inc GST for unlimited installs of the iOS app.
Updated Compliance
Full support for all the recent changes including the new 20K Full Depreciation/Write-Off for businesses now with 10 million turnover. This is part of our broader support for the Small Business Entities and the applicable depreciation rules/options that apply when electing to be a Small Business Entity (SBE).
The release will also include any changes to the Depreciation Cost Limits and LCT Thresholds
Non-Small Business Entity to Small Business Entity Conversion
Related to the increased applicability of the Small Business Entity rules due to businesses with 10 million turnover being able to take advantage (prev. 2 million)
We now support the move from an Non-SBE to an SBE. This ensures conversion of assets to a depreciation model which includes the 20k Full Depreciation Threshold plus the the General SBE Pool.

More Depreciation Start Options
Currently with AssetManager Pro you can have depreciation calculate on a Daily basis (from the acquisition date) or an Monthly basis where depreciation starts from the first FULL month.
This is even more flexible with options to start to depreciation for the FULL MONTH OR MID MONTH in which the asset was acquired.
The FULL MONTH is a key update to better support New Zealand IRD requirements around depreciation.

More than MYOB
AssetManager Pro has always been a key add-on to MYOB having formerly been MYOB AssetManager Pro.
However we now support a range of popular Small Business Accounting systems including Reckon Accounts, Intuit QuickBooks and Xero Online Accounts.
In addition we have made some updates to support the most recent version of MYOB AccountRight Live in addition to the Classic v19 MYOB products/versions.
Change an Asset(s) Asset Group
In prior versions of AssetManager Pro (including MYOB AssetManager Pro) it was not possible to change an Assets Asset Group.
For current year assets, the asset had to be deleted and for historical assets it was locked permanently!
You can now move Assets between Asset Groups via the MOVE IN function set via the Asset Group you want to move the Asset to. Assets can be moved on a individual basis, selected or all.
