Create a shortcut to an AssetManager Pro Company File (v4 or later)
Right-click the shortcut created for AssetManager Pro and choose Properties. The Properties window will be displayed.
Click the Shortcut tab. The Target field should contain the location of AssetManager Pro executable file, for example AssetManagerPro.exe, as shown below in an example using the sample Clearwater Non-SBE File
"C:\Program Files (x86)\AssetManager Pro 2016\AssetManagerPro.exe"
Add the location and name of your company file to the Target field (in quotation marks), for example "C:\Program Files (x86)\AssetManager Pro 2016\AssetManagerPro.exe" "C:\Users\Andrew\Documents\AssetManager Pro\Clearwater Pty Ltd Non-SBE.DAT"
Include a space between "AssetManagerPro.exe" and your company file name and location as shown in the example below.
Using a network location?
To link your shortcut to a file in a network location, enter the path and name to the network file. We recomend using \\server\path\name.dat to connect to a file.
Click OK. Now when you double-click your shortcut, the software will launch and your company file will be opened.
Additional Information
If your company file or the folder containing the company file has any spaces in the name, you may need to use quotation marks for the shortcut to work correctly.
